Cia. Vale do Rio Doce, the world's largest iron-ore producer, plans to start operations at its Brucutu mine in Brazil's Minas Gerais state, BNAmericas said, citing Sergio Leite, the company's director of ferrous metals.
Vale expects to produce about 7 million metric tons of iron
