Between March 22 and 24, our company will be taking part in the United Nations 2023 Water Conference in New York. The purpose of the Conference is to review progress toward the goals of the International Decade for Action on Water for Sustainable Development. Our presence reflects Vale’s commitment to become increasingly sustainable and our purpose of improving life and transforming the future.

We believe that sustainable mining is essential for global development and the development of the communities around our operations. Therefore, our objective is to promote discussion about the mining sector’s relationship with water and to present common challenges in the sector and best practices aimed at the rational and sustainable use of this resource.

As well as being present at the Conference, providing speakers in the Environment and Water Resources areas, we will also be holding a virtual Side Event called “Challenges and opportunities to ensure sustainable water management in mining,” which anyone can access via this link.
