Whistleblowing System

Starting on January 1, 2016, the Company enacted the Vale Whistleblower Channel or VWC, a reporting service that is managed independently and professionally by a violation reporting service provider in Indonesia.VWC is directly connected to the Vale S.A Ethics and Conduct Office, in Brazil, which manages reports received.

Violation reports may be submitted in Bahasa Indonesia or English, through the channels provided.

The Company’s stakeholders are invited to utilize our reporting channels whenever they witness any type of conduct that is not acceptable
and is in violation of the Code of Ethics and Conduct.
The Company guarantees that under no circumstances will there be a breach of confidentiality, intimidation or retaliation against any whistle-blower and does not tolerate retaliation, which itself is considered as violation (misconduct). All employees are encouraged to report any case of retaliation.

Each report will be responded to and further investigated by the Ethics and Conduct Office Vale S.A in Brazil through procedures that protect complainant’s rights.
