107 people receive the R$100,000.00 donation

248 representatives of 229 victims registered from January 31 to February 4. Until yesterday, 107 people have received the donation

248 representatives of 229 people that died or are missing due to the breach of Dam 1 in Brumadinho registered for the donation between January 31 and February 4. Of this total, 107 already received R$100,000.00 each.

Starting on Wednesday (February 6), the service will be available on weekdays from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Brumadinho Knowledge Center, located at Rodovia MG 040, KM 49, Área Rural Brumadinho). Vale has not yet defined a date to close registrations.

Eligibility applies to representatives of Vale employees, of third party employees and of the missing and/or deceased members of the community, as per the official list validated by the Civil Defense and made available on vale.com/brumadinho.

Only one representative of each deceased/missing person can receive the donation, in the following order of preference: 1st - legal guardians of minor children; 2nd - spouse or common-law partner; 3rd - descendants, and 4th - ascendants (see details below).

It is worth clarifying that this donation is not related to any potential indemnity due; the latter will be discussed in detail with the families and representatives of the public authorities.

Phone helplines are available to clarify questions about the registration process. The numbers for information are: 0800 031 0831 (Alô Brumadinho), 0800 285 7000 (Alô Ferrovias) and 0800 821 5000 (Vale's Ethics and Conduct Office).

Exceptional cases will be evaluated by Vale.

Registration guidelines:

Only one representative can register to receive the donation, in the following order of preference:

- 1st - legal guardians of minor children
- 2nd - spouse or common-law partner
- 3rd group - descendants, according to degree of kinship (siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren - in that order)
- 4th group - ascendants, according to degree of kinship (mother, father, grandparents, great grandparents - in that order).

To be eligible, representatives must present proof of family relationship, as follows:

- 1st group: order or letter of custody or guardianship of the children and/or the children's birth certificates;
- 2nd group: marriage certificate or common-law marriage affidavit;
- 3rd group: proof of affiliation (e.g. birth certificate, passport, ID);
- 4th group: proof of affiliation (e.g. birth certificate, passport, ID).

Also, the representative's personal data (full name, ID, social security number, date of birth, full address, e-mail, telephone and bank details). Required bank details include bank, bank number, branch number and account number - with digits - and type of account (savings or current).
