Vale receives first batch of rapid test kits in China for the new coronavirus

Arrival in Brazil is scheduled for Monday

This Friday (March 27), Vale China received the first batch of 5 million rapid test kits for the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), which causes COVID-19 disease.  This Sunday (March 29), the shipment of 500 thousand units will come by plane from the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, in the Chinese province of Guangdong; it is scheduled to arrive at the International Airport of Guarulhos (São Paulo) on Monday night (March 30). The remaining 4.5 million units will be delivered by the supplier in April.

The test - produced by the Chinese company Wondfo - is registered at the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa, Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária) and was donated by Vale to help the Brazilian government fight against the spread of the disease in the country.

All logistics for the distribution of the kits in Brazil will be under the responsibility of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
