Vale begins registration for the R$100,000 donations

Donation is to families that have lost family members (missing people or fatalities) in the breach of Dam I in Brumadinho

​Vale will commence registration of those eligible to receive the R$100,000 donation to families that have lost family members (missing people or fatalities) in the breach of Dam I of the Córrego do Feijão mine in Brumadinho, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Registration hours will be Thursday (31) from 14:00 - 18:00, and the following days, from 8:00 to 18:00, primarily at the Brumadinho Knowledge Center. It will be also possible to register at the Feijão Community Center.

Those eligible to receive the donation include representatives of Vale employees, third party employees and of the missing and/or deceased members of the community, as per the official list validated by the Civil Defense and made available on www.vale.com.

Only one representative can register to receive the donation, in the following order of preference: 1st - legal guardians of minor children; 2nd - spouse or common-law partner; 3rd - descendants, and 4th - ascendants (see details below).

To expedite service and avoid unnecessary time in lines, the representative should go to the registration venue on the advised date, considering the alphabetic order of the first name of the deceased or missing relative (see table below Those who cannot register on the specified date should go to one of the venues from February 6th, Wednesday.

At the time of registration, applicants must present proof of family relationship and their original and updated personal data (full name, ID, social security number, date of birth, full address, e-mail, telephone and bank details).

Special cases will be evaluated by Vale.
