Vale Distributes Chinese New Year Care Packages in Manjung

MANJUNG, February 8 – To celebrate Chinese New Year and to ring in the Year of the Tiger, Vale in Malaysia distributed 254 units of CNY packages to various communities in Manjung. The distribution is a continuation of the Senyum@Vale initiative, which aims to foster and strengthen our engagement with the community here in Manjung.

The packages consisting of flavored teabags produced by a small female-owned business and glass teacups, were distributed to members of:

  • The Management Committee of Kong Hock Keong Temple and Persatuan Kutien Manjung: Chinese Associations in Lumut and Setiawan
  • Persatuan Penjaja-Penjaja dan Peniaga Kecil Melayu Perak: The Hawkers Association in the Manjung District
  • Persatuan Kebajikan Warga Tua Manjung: A homecare for the elderly and disabled

Rodrigo Ribeiro de Araújo, CEO of Vale in Malaysia said: “The Chinese New Year celebration is the celebration of hope for a better and more prosperous future. We hope the distribution of the festive care packages delivered joy and happiness to the recipients; aligned with our commitment to a future of shared prosperity with the communities in Manjung”.

Upon receiving the packages, one of the committee members of the Kong Hock Keong Temple, Loo Chin Huat added “Thank you Vale in Malaysia, for contributing these CNY packages! It’s very much appreciated! Thank you and Gong Xi Fa Cai!
